Five Senses Expedition

During the fall semester, our Kindergarten students studied the five senses. We focused on what happens when someone loses one of their five senses. We visited the home of a blind man and watched him cook and do his daily chores. We learned songs in sign language and presented them to students at a local school for deaf students. We learned that people that have lost one of their senses are not scary, but are just like us and are able to adapt well to their situation.
